End: Homedale (River Mile 416)
Distance: 8 River Miles
Float Time: ~ Less than 1 Day
What to Expect
This reach is predominantly agricultural land, it is characterized as a broad, relatively slow flowing section, lacking rapids or falls. This reach is surrounded by small valleys and flats. The banks are densely vegetated and the river channel holds numerous large islands where wildlife abounds. Please explore responsibly since the islands are important habitat and have some access restrictions. River velocities are relatively low and in some areas it is nearly flat water. Finding the main river channel around the islands will keep the trip moving better.
